There's a new name in thermoplastic ELASTOmers

Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) compounder, VTC TPE Group, has announced they will be changing their name to ELASTO. The businesses, which comprise Vita Thermoplastic Polymers in the UK and VTC Elastoteknik in Sweden, were recently acquired by HEXPOL, a leading global polymers group.

“Collectively our companies have over 60 year’s experience of successfully developing customised thermoplastic elastomer compounds. Just as our products have evolved to meet our customers’ needs, so have we. As we join the HEXPOL family we are bringing our businesses together under the new name of ELASTO” explained managing director Per G. Hellberg. “Our aim is to achieve a clear, consistent identity that appeals to customers by reflecting our core values. Our new identity is about more than a logo, we are dedicated exclusively to developing and producing sophisticated, technical TPE solutions, it is important to us that our new identity reflects this.”

The company develops and manufactures a range of TPE compounds based on SBS, SEBS, TPO and TPV technologies, led by global brands Dryflex® and Mediprene®. Recent developments include an expansion to their Dryflex FR range of halogen-free flame retardant materials and oil-free Mediprene compounds for medical device applications.
