Compound science in partnership at K2007

The decision to bring the VTC TPE group (the thermoplastic elastomer division), Perrite (the engineering thermoplastics arm) and Doeflex-Vitapol (the PVC division) together on to one stand seemed an obvious one, with visitors now able to benefit from the knowledge, skills and experience that exist within each of the divisions under one ‘roof’.

The compounding group’s theme for the show will be ‘compound science in partnership’ and will focus on its continual drive to deliver customer value through product innovation and enhanced customer partnerships.

Nigel Hay, CEO of the Vita Compounding Group, explained: “Since June 2005, we have invested over €15 million in these businesses, as a result of which we have increased capacity, operational excellence and R&D focus across the group. In order to demonstrate this, we will be exhibiting at K2007 as a group for the first time ever. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the stand and showcasing Vita’s material compounding advances.”

The stand design has been developed to demonstrate the vital role compound technology plays in modern product design. Each business will showcase relevant product innovations as well as advances in materials and applications, which will give visitors access to the full range of specialist technologies and polymers in one location. Amongst the materials that will be showcased at K2007 are; Doeflex’s ‘Timbercel’ wood composite PVC, Perrite’s range of halogen free, flame retardant engineering thermoplastics and the VTC TPE Group’s specialist ‘Mediprene’ TPE compounds for the medical device market.

Vita Compounding will be exhibiting at K2007 on stand D83, hall 8B.
